Chorley FM HQ
A capacity crowd revelled in a celebration of the music of Pink Floyd in The Lancastrian Suite of Chorley Town Hall Saturday 16th July.
The Floyd Band playing their second sell out gig at this venue in little over a year consider this to be their home Turf.
A seven piece outfit who have the Floyd sound down to a “T” rocked their way through a terrific set which included the full “Dark Side Of The Moon “ and “Wish You Were Here” albums so that if you closed your eyes you could have been in the studio with the genuine article. Not that you would have been closing your eyes as the band were backed by a fantastic video montage and wonderful light and laser display which complemented the sounds perfectly. As a North West band these guys are certainly on the up. The sound and vision complementing each other making the show a feast not only for the ears but the eyes as well. Well received by the audience the gig was also being filmed so watch this space for a possible live dvd ?.
As Comfortably Numb drew the concert to its end the band were given a standing ovation and certainly making it a distinct probability that a return to this venue will be forthcoming possibly later this year or early next. There are a cornucopia of Floyd tribute bands trading the boards around the country but these guys are certainly up there amongst the cream and the saxophonist was incredible… the icing on a very tasty Pink Floyd Cake.
