The Explorer Scouts came in to Chorley Fm

Chorley FM HQ

The Explorer Scouts came in to Chorley Fm in a change to our regular programming. The Scout’s from Chorley, completed their media training as part of a 3 year funded project from Chorley Council. Working alongside Onside (Chorley Youth Zone)

The group and some 150 other young people from schools and  uniformed organisations have taken part in the course, sampling the world of broadcast media

On the 17th March the Scouts took to the airwaves and interviewed local charity “Stars and Cars” Who kindly came in to talk about the work they do with Deran House

Colin from Stars and Cars also brought in a Star Wars storm trooper helmet which the youngsters had great fun with.

The Scouts were aged between 14 -16 years of age and they did a wonderful job asking questions live on air.

The show began at 7.20 and ended at 8.45

Chorley FM welcomes charities and other non profit organisations to get involved with the station. As a community station run entirely by volunteers, we offer  voice in the town of Chorley
