Asda to consult publice on proposed new Chorley Store
ASDA has announced plans to consult the public on proposals for a new store in Chorley. The retailer has aspirations to build a new store on the site currently occupied by QS Fashions, at the corner of Bolton Street, Pall Mall and Market Street.
LOGGING on to Lancashire County Council's electronic schools information system is part of the everyday morning routine at Clayton-le-Woods CE Primary School.
But when the school bursar, Marion Barlow, clicked onto the site last week she had no idea that hers was the millionth log-in to the Schools Portal – and that she'd just bagged a £500 prize for the school.
Headteacher Sue Pennington said: "Either Marion or I log onto the Schools Portal every morning – it's just like opening the mail. We had no idea we'd were the millionth user!
The Digital Switchover is coming, and this week Chorley FM focussed on the digital switchover and how it affects you. We were joined by the guys from the Digital Switchover Help Scheme (provided by the BBC in agreement with the Government) to find out what will be happening, when it will happen and more importantly, what help there is available to the 7 million people across the UK that are entitled to help in making the change you need to carry on watching TV after the 4th November.
You can listen to all this weeks on-air action week programming below. Theres a lot of information about how the Help Scheme can help those eligible so make sure you've got a pen and paper handy! Don't forget, you can find out all the information you need at: www.helpscheme.co.uk
